Grace College’s Shooting Sports Club Surpasses 100,000 Targets
WINONA LAKE, IND. – August 29, 2022 – The Grace Shooting Sports Club (GSSC) at Grace College reached a significant milestone by shooting over 100,000 targets in one year. On the very last day before entering the 2022/2023 school year, a group of coaches and students met to shoot the 100,000th target. The final tally for the year was 100,051 targets!
GSSC is a club sport at Grace College with over thirty students on its roster. Winning division awards at the national level for the past five years, the club has prospered under a school-wide initiative that promotes club and junior varsity sports. The club has grown each year since its inception and has just begun its seventh year.
GSSC is a recreational shotgun shooting club that focuses on promoting gun safety, enhancing shooting skills and connecting with the shooting community. The group strives to promote a positive image of shooting sports, provide opportunities for leadership development and enhance community awareness of safe shooting practices.
